After a full week of cycling π΄ββοΈ we had two well deserved rest days sleep π΄ in Dubrovnik. My twin sister π±π»ββοΈπ©π» picked out this beautiful luxurious apartment with private pool ππ»ββοΈ with lots of space. There was an extra room we used to lay out all our crap and let it air out after being stuffed in our bike bags for three weeks π€’. We wanted to do all our laundry, since we had our own laundry machine, and everything just stank. The machine was broken, but the host offered to do our laundry, hoot hoot ππ»!

We spent half the day in the pool, but only after we cleaned our bikes π². We cleaned it good, cleaned it cleaned it real good. Mas is very strict about this, to Suuzβs frustration.

Just after 16:00 we made our way into old town Dubrovnik. The part of the city that closes down sometimes when the Game of Thrones fan-crowd gets too big. This time it was not too bad. Hot βοΈ, but not bad. We strolled around exploring the narrow alleyways. Ronald bought new sunglasses πΆ. We went for a beer π» on some kind of cliff and had dinner at an Italian place called Toniβs π.

After Uber-ing back to the apartment we jumped straight back into the pool for a great midnight swim ππ»ββοΈ with a good glass of Kutjove (local wine π·) under a sky full of stars β¨. And airplanes βοΈ, which always catch the attention of plane-lovers Daphne and Ronald.

On Saturday we enjoyed a nice breakfast π³ at the apartment before going for another swim. Mas cleaned all the bags and her shoes. She just always wants to shine. Suuz doesnβt mind to be a little dusty. For lunch we took an Uber up the mountain and enjoyed this great panorama view of Dubrovnik. The most memorable about lunch was Ronald ordering a salad π₯ (maybe he was affected by the heat). And yes there was other food like meat π or fish π.

Back in the apartment we went in the pool πββοΈ , again. Such a treat. We walked all the way down to the Gruz harbour for dinner at Orsan restaurant. The twins were a little overheated after walking in the sun, but after we sat down all was good again. There was some entertainment in the restaurant. A guy sitting at a table close to the water, dropped his phone π± in the water. The youngest waiter ππ»ββοΈ was ordered to get undressed, dive in and get it. Great show! The food was really good but it was a lot π π π . Quite a challenge to finish everything, even for us.

Back at the apartment, we packed our bags and yes yes another jump in the pool. We said goodbye ππ» to Daphne and Ronald since we wanted to leave really early the next morning and they would sleep in. It was a great weekend, we had a good rest and it was so nice to spend some time with those two. But yeah all good things come to an end and we had to get ready for our next stretch of cycling π΄ββοΈπ΄ββοΈ .
